The Model and Me: Zarc spring-summer 2020

When I was sorting through and editing my wardrobe a couple of weeks ago, I uncovered a number of “trends” and by “trends” I mean obsessions. One of those obsessions seems to be white dresses.

Clearly the summer vision I have for myself is swanning and floating about in swathes of white fabric.

BECAUSE I JUST CAN’T STOP. (WON’T STOP.)

A white dress is the quintessential classic summer piece and in this Model and Me post, I’m featuring a new fave (just don’t tell the others hanging in my wardrobe) from the Zarc spring-summer 2020 collection.

Zarc arrived in our hearts and in our wardrobes about two years ago. With a size range from 6-24 and fun designs in natural fabrics, designer Vanessa has built a strong following.

The dress below is just a taste of what’s to come. I may have added these shorts to my cart today after wearing the natural colour in that style solidly all last summer.

There is so much to love about this style. The most important being that this dress is not see-through because it’s fully lined in cotton. It still remains a dreamy, floaty style and one that is for those of us who love a more relaxed look. I could have sized down to the small and I’m a size 14-16 depending on the brand. (I’ve popped up a little video of me in the dress on my Instagram Stories HERE)

The length is perfect on my 166cm for dressing up with wedges as I’ve done or wear with slides or flat sandals for a beach dress. And YES, it very much passes The Sneaker Test. The v-neck falls into a functional button-down (if you’re looking for breastfeeding friendly this summer). The buttons are the coconut buttons you see on my photo. Sleeves are loosely elasticated, so you can wear them scrunched up or down to suit. The drop waist, frill hem brings more of the fun factor.

I’ve contrasted the white with a pop of red in these new FRANKiE4 Footwear TARA wedges but I also love working white back with tan, black or metallic.

As for wearing white, you know me … I like to live on the edge and have my trusty Vanish around to sort out the details afterwards!

So, tell me, would I find a collection of summer white dresses in your wardrobe? Room for one more?
