Here are 8 Must-Know Summer Plus Size Underwear Finds
1. Hey Mavens
Hey Mavens is a size and gender-inclusive underwear brand that provides sizes XXS-10X. Their specialty is brightly colored undergarments, made to stand out! Each piece is individually sewn in the US.
The founder, Annika, says “When you’re wearing something that truly aligns with who you are as a person, a new level of pep in your step magically unlocks…I’m just here to make it happen.” Not only are their pieces available online, but you can also shop in person in Nashville, TN!
2. TomboyX
TomboyX aims to create underwear that any body could feel comfortable in, regardless of size or gender. They offer sizes 3XS-6XL in briefs, boy shorts, trunks, and boxer briefs.
The team at TomboyX states, “We are a queer-founded brand dedicated to empowering our LGBTQ+ community year-round, and advocating for equal representation and celebration of all people. We are proud to design and manufacture thoughtful, beautifully-made products for all bodies and needs.”
3. Panty Drop
Panty Drop is unique in that they offer a subscription service in addition to purchasing plus size underwear outright. Through their subscription program, you can choose up to 4 pairs, cancel or skip at any time, and you get a 15% discount.
Their undies are offered in sizes XS-8X and there are several collections to choose from!
4. ARQ
ARQ is female-founded and owned by the designer, Abigail Quist. All their garments are sewn in the US from certified organic, recycled, and/or deadstock materials. ARQ is influenced by the Pacific Northwest’s landscape, culture, and spirit.
Their line includes modern, updated classic styles that are rooted in nostalgia. They offer sizes XXS-6X. If you live in the McMinnville, OR area, you can coordinate a time to pick-up your order in person!
5. SnagTights
You likely have heard of Snagtights because of their inclusive hosiery line. But did you know that they offer underwear in sizes 1-34? Snagtights believes that every body has the right to self-expression through their clothing. This is regardless of body size or shape, race, gender, or any other factor.
Their production process is carbon neutral and their dying systems, which are vegan and animal free, use recycled water. As Snagtights is committed to sustainability, they also have a recycling program!
6. CantiqLA
CantiqLA was founded by Chelsea Hughes to create quality and handcrafted lingerie for all bodies. Their brand does focus more on the lingerie side, but if you’re looking for a sexy pair of undies, this is the brand for you!
CantiqLA believes that lingerie shouldn’t conform to beauty standards and is actively trying to expand the concept of inclusivity. They offer sizes XS-6X.
7. Cheek Boss
Cheek Boss was founded by the creator of POP Fit Clothing, Ashley ‘Gia’ Schendel. After creating leggings for POP Fit, she knew the next thing to do was create seamless plus size underwear to wear under those leggings.
Cheek Boss focuses on inclusivity, representation, and body positivity. They only offer up to a size 4X. However, by looking at their size chart, a size 4X at Cheek Boss is pretty comparable to a 5X at Torrid, especially if you have larger hips.
They are headquartered in Las Vegas, NV and all aspects of the business are performed in-house.
8. Harper Wilde
Harper Wilde has been actively expanding their size offerings and they’re doing it the right way, by getting input from plus size folks! Their No-Show and Cloud Cotton collections are currently available up to a 4X. However, they are working to expand to 5X and 6X.
They also created the industry’s first bra recycling program, Recycle, Bra. Typically bras end up in landfills because donation centers won’t accept them. But through this program, you can recycle any brand of bras and plus size underwear through Harper Wilde.
