These are the people we can’t wait to see on the streets of the Big Apple. Their fashion know-how always astounds us.
Shine By Three blogger, Clinique brand ambassador, law student, stylist and Harper’s Bazaar contributor (to name a few pursuits), Margaret Zhang proves her worth as more than just a street-style starlet. Characterized by her gamine style, the Australian always delivers, whether it’s tailored pantsuits, innovative layers, oversized statement pieces or a standout coat.
Former lawyer-turned-Nylon Market Director Preetma Singh continually storms fashion Week with her unrivaled sartorial swagger. With a stash of eclectic and uncommon pieces, Singh seamlessly blends grunge and femininity with graphic tees, vintage pieces and plenty of out-there accessories and touches (namely her green tresses).
With a penchant for classic minimalism, Canadian-born Harper’s Bazaar Style Director Joanna Hillman is a breath of fresh air come fashion Week. Spot her among the crowds of over-the-top dressers as she effortlessly sports clean lines, infallible silhouettes, textbook cuts and stand-alone patterns.
Aimee Song (Song of Style) went from California fashion/interior design blogger to international street-style darling thanks to industry collaborations and her approachable sense of dressing. Best known for an everyday sensibility (loads of denim, leather jackets and chunky knits) in her posts, Song swaps out her West Coast–inspired uniform for a fashion Week full of the latest oversized, patterned and monochromatic trends.
Leandra Medine, perhaps better known as The Man Repeller, continues to rise in the ranks of street-style stars with her cheeky take on serious fashion and a knack for working denim into any look. Never one to take her outfits too seriously, Medine creates ensembles that are the casual counterpart to Anna Dello Russo’s flashy getups: experimental and outlandish in their own way. The New York–based blogger continually whips up whacky pairings, funky silhouettes, out-there layering and innovative outfits even when it’s not fashion Week.
Refinery29’s editor-at-large Annie Georgia Greenberg is a chameleon of sorts when it comes to style. Purveyor of thrifted gems, Greenberg always looks effortlessly cool manifesting a range of styles while still making every look her own. Spot her in wide-leg pants, flowing vintage frocks and knockout shoes.
