Remember that video earlier this year showing off a “reimagined” version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5? Well, the same 3D graphics artist – RwanLink – is back, with another video.
While the previous one gave us a “next-gen” look at Lake Hylia, this latest focuses on Zora’s Domain. We see Link in both young and adult forms, and a lengthy cinematic is followed by some early gameplay footage. According to the video description, the creator spent 1200 hours over the past four and a half months (18 weeks) to get this much done.
“I have personally worked on this video for 1200 hours over the past four and a half months. (18 weeks) My deadline was to finish it before July because I’m moving and I didn’t want to be in the middle of a project. I hope you’ll enjoy the tremendous amount of work that went into making this video in such a short time. The composer also made 8 different tracks for this video!”
Once again, it’s worth noting there’s no actual gameplay here. It’s a concept – showing Link running around – so he can’t really interact or battle anything. He does seem to have the ability to jump though, and can even fly about.
